bbeljefe
Okay it's set perfect the gains were backwards on the amp or something because I checked and rechecked with both the dmm and dd1 at clean signal 33 sub level 15, for everyone saying not to set sub level at 15 you were incorrect in regards to alpine headunits I figured this out because with sub level at 0 the max voltage the amp would see was 22 volts which 1200 watts should be 36 volts so I set sub level to 15 volume at 33 gain knob turned to what is labeled on amp as 6 volts the max and did not get distortion kept "turning down gains " until solid distortion light came on. Then hooked up dmm so I could see the volt reading instead of being 54 which is what it was with gain knob all the way down it was now at 37 so it was perfect. Double checked this and everything checked out. So thank you everyone for all the help I guess we can see why it took so long . I can't believe I figured this out I should PayPal everyone who helped a gift What is labeled 6 volts on the amp is not the max gain, it is the minimum gain. The maximum amount of gain is needed for a low voltage signal of ~200mV and the minimum amount is needed for a stronger 6v signal. The amp is not mislabeled, you don't understand gain. Well... you didn't understand gain but you should now, lol. ;-) Quote Facebook: facebook.com/audioanarchyllc Instagram: audioanarchyllc Youtube: youtube.com/bbeljefe
