conley916
I plan on running a 3.5k at 1ohm on a 12v setup with two level 4 18s (rms at 1400), with the proper electrical (multiple batteries, 1/0, big 3, h/o alt) will that extra 350watts per sub affect it in anyway? I know these subs can take a beating but Im making this a daily setup and want to consistantly hammer on it without having to worry about the coils getting too smelly or the subs blowing or whatever. I'm walling them in a 04 extended cab silverado. Quote 2015 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack audio coming soon
GassenD
Yeah you should have no problem at all.. After rise you're probably not putting that much power to them, plus it's not like your driving down the road burping constantly.. If you think you're over powering them and they smell or get too hot just knock the gain down a bit. hdorre
You'll be fine. If mine stayed cool and never smelled on some full tilt, hr long drives playing primarily below tuning.. On slightly more power.. Then you'll be okay.
