I really can't offer a fair comparison, I've only listen to a few songs so far with the new pwx's installed and it sounded the same to me. Also I'm kinda in the middle of redoing my whole front stage, I blew 3 of 4 tweeters and had to go a week listening to coil rub and 1 tweeter. The PWX's can take more power and are pro audio so I would expect them to be a little louder.
