SQL50
Everything about the hu is wonderful except one thing.. When I hook my usb up to it, it reads n/a device.. I've already installed the Kenwood music control app on my android and it still reads that.. Am I missing something that's still causing it to read that? ChevyBoy95
Could be the type of USB. I know mine has reading issues with them as well, and it is a kenwood. Certain USBs read perfectly and pretty damn fast, others, will work then go to N/A, or N/A as soon as they read. TRON
If you mean the USB as is a memory stick, try formatting it and put all the music back on it. There may have been something wrong with the way the files were writing onto the memory stick that the head unit doesn't read. My Kenwood didn't like my USB stick but after I formatted it it worked fine. SQL50
I meant connecting my phone to the hu, not a memory stick.. A memory stick works fine it's just that my phone doesn't want to cooperate, I've been connecting my phone to the usb so that it will charge and playing music from aux, all those wires are driving me crazy if you know what I mean lol.. ChevyBoy95
Last i recall, kenwoods only had apple support. I though androids had 1 slot for the micro USB charging cable, and a different slot for data transfer, where as the apple devices have it in 1 plug. SQL50
So the problem might be in the type of transfer cable?
TRON
I know that Kenwood is built for iOS, but you can run Android if you use the app. You have the app, so I'm guessing there could be a firmware issue with the head unit. Look in the manual, there's a way to update it or just reload it. As far as the cable itself, I have no experience with Android phones.
