all4spl Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 So I just purchased my first Jeep its a 2011 Liberty With the Infinity system, I don't care about retaining the factory amp or speakers since that will all be replaced. I have an 80PRS, I would like to keep the factory volume controls on the steering wheel. So other than the standard install kit, wire harness what else do I need. There are like 4 adapters I see online, am I correct in assuming all I need is the module for the steering wheel controls? I see CAN-BUS modules and etc do I need those? Thanks for any help! lightfoot Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 If you would like to retain your R.A.P (retained accesory power) then yes you will need one of those modules. If you dont care about it you can always just wire your acc. power from the deck to a switched ignition source. BTW the R.A.P keeps your deck on until you have opened your drivers door after the ignition has already been turned off
all4spl Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 Yeah I don't care about the deck staying on after I turn the car off, its kinda annoying to be honest. Retired from SPL again.... 2016 IASCA Truck/Trunk 2 Champion 151.8db 2016 IASCA Truck/Trunk 2 World Record Holder
