I didn't smell anything but mdf lol. I know the smell of a clipped to shit sub. Cooked the level five on purpose in my car and it smelled for weeks. It was hot as dicks in there but that's to be expected with how long you were beating on them.

I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

nice build man, maybe you aren´t as loud as you should cause bandpasses tend to have a huge rise, get youself some nasty 15s D2s , that would get you way way louder :)

Well I got new recones for the team motors

Basically they're awesome. I play 18-55, can pretty much shirt trick and it plays surprisingly flat. I also wired down to .35 on my ct 7k and it's taking it like a champ and so are the subs. I feel like windows down on music I'm doing 52-53s but I haven't metered since I wired down so who knows. At 1.4ohm on the 7k I metered a 49.8 with 1 window up and when I roll the window down I gain like a db. Also did a 44.3 at 19hz and those scores are while I was driving around on music, although idk if driving effects the meter or not. Anyways, here's a video of me trying to float a shirt at like 22-23hz
