diegoclass2010 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2015 pre-kerf 1/4 mdf for the people that dont want to kerf wood... only that sucks they sell it by 24''x48'' i cutted part of the port because it will have to be assembled inside the car or it wont fit most of the joints were Rabbet joints to assemble the pieces with ease this is what happens when you don't have mobile solution router bits to adjust depth on the fly... tape to the rescue thats its for today so far, i used wood glue thru out the edge except on the ends, i used CA glue with insta-cure to set the wood on its place Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
diegoclass2010 Posted January 3, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 3, 2016 haven't really been working on the car, been busy with other stuff... but heres a small update I finished gluing the top peices togher with CA Glue and wood glue on the sides . then in the inside i filled the kerf cuts with long strand hair.. i will be strengthening it with fiber glass on top but my main priority is to leave it smooth with a nice round curve with a flares in the ends of the ports:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
