GassenD Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I'm getting rid of my.97 explorer and wanting to either get an 03 S10 xtreme, or a Ford ranger.. I like the looks of the s10 inside and out but the ranger looks like it could have a little more room? I plan on moving everything from my current build into the new truck, 2 SA 15s.and a Soumdqubed 2200. Ill be buying a new 300 amp alternator and head unit for the truck also.. Would the 2 SA 15s fit in either the s10 or ranger or would I have to Wall it off. And would that leave me enough room to have my extra Kinetik in the back? I haven't seen many build logs in small extended cab trucks but the ones I've seen they were mostly blowthroughs.. Posted in the wrong place had to repost. SMF93 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I have a 98 s10 extended cab and the max dimensions behind the seat with the seats all the way back are approximately 48" wide, 12-14" deep, and to the bottom of the rear window is about 24" tall. Might help you out a little
SMF93 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 You wouldn't have to wall of an extended cab s10 but Im pretty sure you would have to go a love the bottom of the rear window
GassenD Posted August 18, 2014 Author Report Posted August 18, 2014 Yeah I dont mind if it goes above the window a bit no biggy.. where should I have the port fire? Towards the front of the truck, towards the roof, towards the 3rd door? '97 Explorer2 Sundown SA 15's SQ 2200D Kinetik KHC1800 (Front) Kinetik KHC 2000 (Back) KnuKonceptz 1/0 OFC 130A Alt + Big 3
SMF93 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Not sure, I haven't even put a system in my s10 yet lol.
GassenD Posted August 19, 2014 Author Report Posted August 19, 2014 Mmm I would guess firing towards the 3rd door would be louder.. '97 Explorer2 Sundown SA 15's SQ 2200D Kinetik KHC1800 (Front) Kinetik KHC 2000 (Back) KnuKonceptz 1/0 OFC 130A Alt + Big 3
GassenD Posted August 19, 2014 Author Report Posted August 19, 2014 Would it be possible to build a box with "changeable" Aero ports.. I would prefer to have one for daily tuned to about 30-32, then have one for comp tuned higher around 38-40? Or just build 2 different boxes? boom50cal Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 lots of loud below the window line in both trucks. steve notsmd mead(watched it do a 159.9 ), brian's audionerdz ranger before the blowthrough did like a 62, joe price is in the low 60's aswell. David Berger built a crazy ass one too. Note, at Heatwave I sat next to Steve notsmd Mead's s10, like 10 ft away, while he was burping it outlaw style...around 52hz, hurt like a mother fucker. bounced my phone and keys off the icechest, rattled my throat.
