moredbs
xp 2500 is an excellent supplementary battery, but not for the instant charge needed to start a vehicle. the d3400 is made to do so.(also an excellent battery)
hdorre
is this a vs. thread?? I didnt realize you were a mod or admin. Maybe ur badge is hidden? So your saying the d3400 will fit my need better than the xp2500 If the battery is under the hood, then yes. xp 2500 is an excellent supplementary battery, but not for the instant charge needed to start a vehicle. the d3400 is made to do so.(also an excellent battery) Or because the XP2500 doesnt the reinforced case that the D3400 has. It'll probably swell from the heat. Karkov
I don't think it's a versus thread when it's two of the same brand being compared (or something like that correct me if I'm wrong) but yea, XP are for inside vehicle (as an example) and D series have a thicker lining for engine bay etc. (again just an example) but also, like everyone is saying, it's the alt where you would shine because it wouldn't matter if you had 20 batteries, if you can't charge them then what good are they doing? EDIT: so you are keeping your current under hood battery...under the hood and are just adding to it with a battery inside the vehicle/trunk or something like that? If so then yes, XP2000 if you can't afford the 2500 or the XP2500 if you can afford it. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Karkov
Please give us a better run through of your whole set up? Big 3 done? what you got for runs to back? pics. of grounds? Your sub box flexing with not affect voltage. 11.4 is fairly low and if it was me I as well would think about starting to upgrade electrical. Best things to do is make sure all wiring is properly sized, and your grounds are More than just adequate. When you are that low batteries will help because you are below there resting voltage but what you really need is a better/stronger alternator. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq.
