Miguels
Did you dd-1 your deck again? No,the deck was set way before i put the 9k in.When i set the 9k the first time ,i kept getting low battery light on the dd-1. kept switching batteries same thing kept happening.the batteries were new,but i guess cheap.went and bought some energizers today, and after four times repeating the gain settings,i got this same spot were the red light would blink.the light never stays solid, unless you go 3/4 or more, that can't be right? :shrug:i did back the gain down a lot when i set it with cheap batteries to be safe. it could be that the bass is all the way down on the deck and that's why it goes to 3/4 on the gain. set the deck eq to max bass and set the gain there. my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

dolarbilz
System of this caliber are touche ...its up to you how to adjust it..you can trust the dd1 or adjust how you like just be smart about it either..listen to the way it sounds..if you keep cranking the bass up either by knob or on neck and doesn't get louder stop. I ran my amps past half way..Dc amps don't need a lot of voltage in from what I hear..maybe get ahold of Dc rusty or rub they can break you down more on what your amp likes. moredbs
I got my cc-1 in the mail today, and i decided to mess with the dd-1 one more time.I used track 7 when setting the gain the first time, but this time i used track 5 and got a solid red light just a hair past halfway. Everything sounds great, and I'm confident its set right now.I still want to upgrade my mids and highs ,but everything i was planning on running is on back order. sencheezy
I've always set my gains by ear. Great build so far !! I wonder what kind of results you would have had if you went with a larger ratio. My 4th is 3.5:1 with 6 15s and 893cuin of port area. Excited to see what numbers you put up as well.
