my first big build 3 15 sp4s on ampere 8.0 TFE 4th order blow through 06 avalanche

got the dual bracket in,but had some issues.the belt that came with the kit was to big and had slippage on startup,also voltage was bad.went and got a smaller belt (little more than a half inch smaller) voltage 14.5 hot at idle. voltage seems a little jittery,even when system is off. at idle with system off,i can rev the engine and the voltage will drop to 13.9 and then back up.not sure if i need to get an even smaller belt or not.just got in contact with singer, he said go smaller on the belt if i can.

no, box is built to minimum specs,so its probably a little too small.

I'm really leaning toward using those instead of threaded rods to avoid drilling holes and having to seal them especially when one of the locations that I plan on bracing is the port wall.

they are a little easier to install.

Picking up my 320 tomorrow.....need to get a new belt too.

Yeah, part of the reason I wanted the all thread was because I think those big bolts sticking out of the box look sweet and it's cheaper but I don't feel like messing with filling the gaps especially with the port.

got some sun flash ,and matt on today. sun flash still works great,even though its a little cold outside.

Sanded down the rings,Also added some matt and resin to the inside of the pods.

There is a little gap around the speakers,guess ill paint it. i want to wrap these in vinyl.

Got the first coat of body filler on,and sanded it down during the green stage. Im using rage body filler,much easier to work with than bondo.

Looks like its cutting bit close with gap between pod and dash..looks good though..

Dual alternators ftw. I had the same problem with my kit, belt was too short. So short that it was smoking on the alternator pulleys when I first started up, but I didn't get a new belt, there are three different positions for the idler pulley on the bracket, so I moved the pulley down to the lowest spot and it did the trick.

Anyway, pod look good man.
