i had to get the good stuff,cause i didn't want to risk water getting in the bed. why not just sand the box smooth and put some nice paint on it?i have seen some really good looking painted boxes on here.

I have Herculiner on my doors, it's pretty nice. Don't recommend rolling it on, definitely get a brush and put it on thick. And if you decide to put it on your doors don't put it where you rest your arms cause it's kinda sharp

I thought about that too.....one of the reasons I wanted to do the bed liner is because my truck has it on the entire front end and along the bottom half so I thought it would look good to match. Plus I just really like the look of it and the fact that will cover up any small imperfections from screws etc.

i used the roller that came with it on a build i did earlier,and it just didn't come out right. maybe i just didn't know what i was doing. the spray gun was really easy and the texture came out perfect.i guess if you use a brush you would just slop it on thick to get the texture.

I've bought mine from the local hardware store and it didn't come with a roller. I tried rolling it on and the roller soaked up the paint and got all clumpy with the stuff that makes the texture and it just didn't go down very good. Try it yourself though, you might have a different experience with it, especially if you buy it and it comes with a roller. But cheap paint rollers from lowes shit a shitty job for me.
