My friends dc 5k is mounted on his wall and it rattles bad too, the screws on the back piece get rattled loose, probably the same with a lot of amps. I just wouldn't mount it on your box if you can avoid it

thanks for the info! I'm very limited in the space i have left.i just thought maybe if i put some 2 by 4s on the back of the box it would help with vibration,and flex.i want to also put 2 by 4s on the top of the box as well,not sure if its flexing there,but i feel like this box design is a little weak.

screws shouldn't get loose.. if they did then why dont subs get lose.. adding 2x4 will help with flex. just use better screws. the thickness of the wood wont let the screws get lose

no its the new model with the stripes. the 9k is older model.

i used smaller screws to mount the 9k,and one of them was a little loose.it just feels like i need to make everything more strong and sealed up better in this build,to get more out of it,and to have peace of mind.

i used 1 1/2 long screws on my amp and they havent worked their way loose.. longer screws should work and use spax

the only way i see the screws going loose is if you have the fine thread and using mdf.. you need coarse thread

yep, thats probably were its coming from.Is elevated about an inch,so the fan can breath,and stops when i put my hand under there. I thought mounting amps,and vibrations was a myth? maybe i read it wrong.
