300spartan Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 So i have a 15" h2 15.4 orion and im pushing it with a alpine mrp 500 with 8awg wiring, i only had upgraded the negative from battery to chassis since i heard that chrysler 300s with regulate it! it sounds ok, but i know the sub can handle more. my first question would be why is it when i reach a certain volume the bass stays the same? next is i was looking at the hifonics amps , which one should i get? money is a budget! thanks

islandpride684 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 What kind of box is your sub in? Prefab or custom? There are alot of things to factor in....as for hifonics amps, alot of people say they are power hungry so unless your electrical is up to par, I would do more research on them....8gauge for the subs or the whole system? 300spartan Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 8Ga to sub amp only. It look like prefab box, maybe around 2.5cu.
Aj11 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 8 g is tiny! thats what we use for speaker wire. that amp.makes very Lil power. i own one. and your gain is prolly maxed out. if your max volume is 40 and your sub Is maxed out at 22 And won't get.louder then turn your gain Down. but all systems have a max output. on your wire with that power with a prefab your.not.looking at much output jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
