philrab Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 I've seen it done, but no idea how it sounded (8" subs up front to keep the sub stage up front). Subs were integrated into a center console box in one case, doors in another. 2015 Toyota Tacoma Build Thread 2007 Mazda 3; 5000K HID's, Kenwood Excelon KDC-X997, Infinity Reference 6.5 comps in front and coaxials in the rear doors, JL 320.4 four channel, Rab Designs built ported enclosure with an SA12, Kenwood monoblock, Redline Leater shift boot/e-brake boot/center console cover, JBR short shifter/shifter bushings/rear motor mount. Build Thread 1996 Mazda Miata: Kenwood Excelon HU, Alpine speaker in the doors, Clearwater (miata specific) headrest speakers. 1994 Mazda Protege: Kenwood Excelon HU, Infinity Reference 2 ways all around, 2x RF Punch 10's in ported boxes.
d-nice88 Posted September 5, 2014 Author Report Posted September 5, 2014 Ive got the 15's in the trunk and im building a center console for my buick for the singal 8" sub. Im trying to get the best spl and sq out of my audio system
Aj11 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 why not sell the 8inch sub and buy a 8inch mid? you will be shocked how much punch a 8inch mid on good power will have. cross it at 50hz and let it rip! you don't have to worry about cancellation and you sq will take a jump. but adding a 8 to a couple 15s is like walking into a forest fire and lighting a match. if your 15s aren't giving you the output you want you should try redoing your box. in short a 8inch sub won't do much competing with 2 15s. you'll get a lil more vibration then what you have but no more output. a 8inch mid will give you the same rattle but really help in every way the sub won't jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
d-nice88 Posted September 7, 2014 Author Report Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks a bunch for the help I appreciate it
