Pos probe on alt +, neg probe on alt gnd or alt case.. All with the car on. Just improves the charging current flow. rocking.that.eclipse Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 your car may have a pcm that keeps the voltage set where the car "thinks" it'll be happy. I know some cars are weird and you can turn on headlights to increase voltage
