Hey guys. Here is my situation: I have a 6ch JL Audio G6600 amp. My head unit however is only 4ch, it's one of those Pioneer AV-2??? series.. I could get pictures if you guys needed but I really need those 2 extra channels.

Will RCA splitters give me 2 extra channels and not conflict anything? Do i need a new head unit?

Just set the "input mode" switch on the amp to "sum". The amplifier has built in y connectors for you. Now just 4 inputs will feed all 6 channels.

Just an FYI, doing this you'll lose the ability to fade volume front to rear, but that can also be accomplished with some slight gain reduction on the rear channel.
