Duece22
Hey guys. Here is my situation: I have a 6ch JL Audio G6600 amp. My head unit however is only 4ch, it's one of those Pioneer AV-2??? series.. I could get pictures if you guys needed but I really need those 2 extra channels. Will RCA splitters give me 2 extra channels and not conflict anything? Do i need a new head unit? 2008 Hummer H3 x2 Sundown Audio Nightshade V2 12s x1 Sundown Audio 3000D
islandpride684
What are you trying to do? Fronts, Rear, Subs? So the headunit only has a front and rear? no sub-out? _paralyzed_
Just set the "input mode" switch on the amp to "sum". The amplifier has built in y connectors for you. Now just 4 inputs will feed all 6 channels.

Just an FYI, doing this you'll lose the ability to fade volume front to rear, but that can also be accomplished with some slight gain reduction on the rear channel. 2015 Toyota Tacoma Build Thread 2007 Mazda 3; 5000K HID's, Kenwood Excelon KDC-X997, Infinity Reference 6.5 comps in front and coaxials in the rear doors, JL 320.4 four channel, Rab Designs built ported enclosure with an SA12, Kenwood monoblock, Redline Leater shift boot/e-brake boot/center console cover, JBR short shifter/shifter bushings/rear motor mount.
