Red Lobsta
Thinking of getting a new box for my 12''L7s, right now i have a ported box with the subs facing the rear. I have a 95 Suburban. I was talking to a buddy of mine and he stated that if the subs were facing up, port towards the rear. It would really be a big difference. What you guys think, subs up or subs to the rear? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. ok so why doesn't port up and sub up work ?? seems like it'd be better for air flow and no cancellation ???
Torres
lol... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. okso why doesn't port up and sub up work ?? seems like it'd be better for air flow and no cancellation ??? i had sub up port up with my solo x, and i hit 147. subs up port back with my new setup and i hit close to the same number. i think i might be losing some massive pressure on my side windows, but considering the solo x was one sub...i think it'd be a good arguement. unless someone (i think kingsuv can be proof) has tested multiple positions/box styles with the same setup. i believe he said sub back and port back was loudest, unless you have too many subs to do that, which you'd do sub up and port back

But yeah once you get past 2 subs you need to do port back subs up to fit them all.
