I've seen xs power say a d7500 = 1.5 d3100

Got the numbers right from their site so unless their own numbers are wrong yeah its true.

I never heard anyone from xs power tell me that the one 7500 is 1-1/2 3100's. But I have had a vendor tell me that. I never bought that.

I always looked at the weight of the 2 as well as the specs. IMHO I'd say it's more like 1-1/4 or maybe 1-1/3.

I'm still very content with mine. I've never seen a scary reading. They hold a great rest, look good, and preform as advertised. Couldn't be happier.
