Amith Singh
Hey guys,I'm new to the forum. Just picked up my first infiniti. Got a m37x 2011 with the premium package (navigation, 10 speaker bose system etc). Now to my question,I am upgrading my stock audio system but keeping my stock headunit and would like to know what else is needed. So far I have purchased 1 Fi Q 12"1 soundqubed Q1-2200D amp for my sub2 6x9 Morel Tempo Ultras for my front doors2 6.5" morel tempo ultras for my rear doors1 infinity kappa four amp for my interiors1 xs power d3400 battery (going to run this as my second battery in the trunk)1. I am going to be putting this together myself. So my question is, how should I be running the wiring for my subs / interiors. Do I need line out converters or something like that to run from the factory amp to my aftermarket amp? Also do I need 2 of these, one for my sub amp and one for interior amp? Or is there a way to bypass the factory amp completely? 2. Other than the 2 front door speakers and rear door speakers, there are other miscellaneous speakers. one in the front dash, a sub in the rear dash, tweeters etc. If I just replaced the 4 speakers, what would happen to the other ones? If i use both my factory amp and line out converters [guessing that is what I need to run my aftermarket amps] would those speakers still be playing or just the ones connected to my aftermarket amp? 3. I had a clarion eq in my honda and it worked great. What would the process be like running it in this car with the stock headunit? and is it worth doing? 4. Should I purchase a cap.. or will this setup be fine without one. Last system I did my self was on a Honda . Much simpler with an aftermarket radio. Any tips to make this process simpler would be appreciated. And what else should be on my shopping list. Would I need something like this?? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC8I/AudioControl-LC8i-Gray.html?tp=61671 Edit.. just read they're called sound processors . and i see some of them come with eq's such as http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LCQ1G/AudioControl-LCQ-1-Gray.html?tp=2001&awkw=75719432665&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=48384099985&awdv=c . would something like this be recommended. or any other tips? thanks
