jayjay6888
i realize it is 1ohm stable.... im kinda new to the car audio scene but i ran accross something about box rise? can someone explain? because i want to go with a dual 2 18Q or 2 15"ssd's dual 1's wired to 1 ohm and that means that the amp will see a .7ohm load and i dont want to blow my amp Quote 1 Fi Sp4 18 Crescendo 2k selenium mids audioque supertweets Hifonics for mids and and highs 1/0 power and grounds ---> on the way singer alt and possibly another 2k depending how sub likes 1 2k
Chris
It'll be .75ohm technically, but as long as you have them in a good box your overall impedance will be close enough to 1ohm so your amp will be fine. mtxcivic07
You will have to do dual 2 ohm woofers if youre getting 2 to get a 1 ohm load. Not dual 1 ohm If youre going to do a single woofer do a dual 2 ohm and it will wire to a 1 ohm load. Although if you really wanna play it safe, get the dual 2 ohm versions, then you can wire them to a 1.5 ohm load since they're FI's. You'll be fine either way really Quote 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. (1) dual 2 ohm woofer will wire to 1 ohm (2) dual 2 ohm woofers will wire to .5 and 2 ohms (1) dual 1 ohm woofer will wire to 2 ohms hope thats easier to read. Box rise wont make it 1.5 though... jayjay6888
wait i thought 2 dual 1 subs could be wired to 1 ohm (.75 For FI's) by wiring each sub in a series that would be a 2ohm load then wiring the two subs together parallel that would be a 1ohm load right Edited March 28, 2008 by jayjay6888 Quote 1 Fi Sp4 18 Crescendo 2k selenium mids audioque supertweets Hifonics for mids and and highs 1/0 power and grounds ---> on the way singer alt and possibly another 2k depending how sub likes 1 2k
