RainStryke
Only took me like an hour to read that damn thread and sign up for a damn account cause they don't allow you to lurk without a account. http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/hot-deals/172057-ppi-ba7000-1d-just-released-33.html Looks like around 2200w on .5OHM @ 12v I'm a little jealous some people snagged those for under $200 just a month ago. CleanSierra
You're asking about an amp being efficient and also asking about half ohm. Throw efficiency out the window below 1 ohm nominal. Efficiency will not be something you're looking at with that type of scenario. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. CleanSierra
The Crescendo BC2000 is stable at half ohm and can be found used cheap. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
dangaranga
Also that test was .5 ohm resistive not reactive so you will likely see less than his results in a real world situation. RainStryke
Hmm... I suppose I should probably go with something built a little better or move back to finding something in the 2OHM range that can give me about 2000w. hdorre
keep in mind that 2kwrms at 2 ohms is a considerable amount of more $$. I mean, Id prefer 2 over .5.. but just saying. How much has your budget increased, so we can make recommendations? CleanSierra
The SAZ-3500D from Sundown(and all the other Korean 3.5K amps) does 2000W at 2 ohms. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
RainStryke
I guess I am looking at a pair of SoundQubed 1200.1's.
nadcicle
One of the better high power 2ohm amps is the Alpine mrx-m240. Does 2400@2ohm and it is still under 500 in a few places. I have seen them go used for around 250 or even less sometimes.
