tn2k
On the enclosure Is there a best location for a port? Front baffle, top, side, rear... I understand that the vehicles interior can affect this but I was just curios about the enclosure itself...
Broke_Audio_Addict
There is no one best location it's all build dependent. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. tn2k
I should add that the enclosure in question would be in an explorer for now and later next year in a yukon/suburban and the woofer direction would be facing the rear of the vehicle... Broke_Audio_Addict
In a Suv port facing toward the rear is usually best. An enclosure may not perform the same in two different vehicles so don't be surprised if you need to build a new one when you change vehicles. tn2k
I have to face the woofers to the rear. Stuff will inevitably sit on top of the box. (Child stroller etc...) So have the ports going towards the rear of the vehicle out of the same surface (baffle) as the woofers?

Broke_Audio_Addict
No problem. You could also start a new post with your max dimensions to get help with a design if you need it.
