Big difference between that and a 3.5k amp No shit captain americaaa! So serious all in here. JustinCapro Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 The noise is coming from the physical amp itself? What's your voltage at the amp when it makes the problem you're describing? What method did you use to set your gains and how did you arrive at your current setting? Possible to get a video of the problem? Yes it comes from the amp but not all the time and I found out today if i push the negative power wire a certain way on the amp i can recreate the buzzing noise.but it does not help the loss of power in the bass. I can have the volume turned all the way down and hear the noise it dont have anything to do with voltage i don't think because from the front battery to the amp there isn't even a .02 voltage difference I would try to get a video but everything is sporadic I need physical numbers. Stick your DMM to the hex screws on your amp It does this no-load too? You can wiggle the wire with music off and re-create that noise? How is your amp mounted. To test for vibration, turn it up and press your forehead to the amp. You'll know real quick whether or not it vibrates to output of speaker or the power input? The amp has to be on but i can recreate this noise with no rcas plugged in and the sub unplugged. I checked remote turn on its getting 12.8 so that cant be the problem. i might send my radio to kenwood to see if the pre outs on the headunit are bad the way it sits in my car it could have very well damaged a solder point . my amp is mounted on a separate amp rack on spacers and the bottem plate is off to help with cooling the amp never gets hot. Ever.

SIDE SHOW Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 take the amp out and put another one in.... or just try duplicate the fault/issue by trying different things whilst it's playing, turn lights on/off, aircon, start stop the car over and over again, drain your batt, press on the casing of the amp ect...

I have a extra dd m4 laying around I'm going to try that.
