JustinCapro Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 The problem is erratic sometimes when I listen to bass its like the output is muffled and sometimes it is normal output and very very loud "I compete with this car, and I am a audio installer so no half A** work done to the car" radio and amp tuned with dd-1 and crossover calibrator A crescendo bc3500 stinger battery spv 69 focal rcas dd 9512 dual 1.5 wired to .7 kenwood dnx 890hd Things I have done to troubleshoot the problem Changed the rcas from expert series 8000 stinger rcas to focal pro rcas costed 100$ that didn't help the problem I changed out all my big 3 wire and soldered all connections before it was just crimped. I tested the pre amp output on my radio and and got 5 to 6 volts every time. I tested the resistance of my sub it was .7 Also tested the resistance of my rcas it read below .0 ohms which is good Note* The amp also periodically makes a loud pitched noise it does not come through the sub but it comes from the amp.Please help me troubleshoot my problem it is driving me crazy.

What method did you use to set your gains and how did you arrive at your current setting? Yes it comes from the amp but not all the time and I found out today if i push the negative power wire a certain way on the amp i can recreate the buzzing noise.but it does not help the loss of power in the bass. I can have the volume turned all the way down and hear the noise it dont have anything to do with voltage i don't think because from the front battery to the amp there isn't even a .02 voltage difference I would try to get a video but everything is sporadic
