Live for the most part. The loudness wars has destroyed the way music is recorded with few exceptions. Some of my favorite live albums...

Depends on the artist really.

Some sound better live than on a cd. Although these days some artists that make great songs just can't sing for shit without editing. Would still like the music though.

Listening to a live cd and actually being there just isn't the same. Plus I listen to a lot of edm.
