Slinky Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 2 6" ports would give me around 56 sq inches of port. Will this be enough if I flare the ends? I would like to vent them into the rear dash with SoundQubed speaker grills over them. Yes. That's almost exactly how much port area I'm giving my HDC415 on 5k and it sounds damn good. Greasemonkey2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Author Report Posted October 29, 2014 I made a few 3d models just to get a perspective of how the box may look. I plan on flush mounting the woofer. I may use a plexi back because the sub will be facing foreward towards the rear seat. What thickness of plexi would you guys recommend?
Greasemonkey2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Author Report Posted October 30, 2014 An I going to notice porting through the rear dash? Or is it not even worth messing around with? I would need a bend in the pipe to get the length I need and 6" pvc elbows are over $20 each.
