Skullz
Anything is possible with enough money, but it doesn't mean you should do it. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
_paralyzed_
Tim Smith at Warrior Diesel can do it. He can put an LS motor in anything. http://www.warriordiesel.com
Broke_Audio_Addict
Sell the equinox and buy the impala save tons of $. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Ivan Deslayer
Morning, Like Skullz said with the proper application of money anything is possible. Technically speaking the SS powertrain is nothing more than a 5.3 bolted to 4T65E tranny. The probem isn't going to be finding the powertrain the problem is all the little stuff associated with stuffing it in i.e. belt drive, exhaust, coolers and such. If you're looking to just stuff a V8 into your ride just to say you have a V8 it might be cheaper and less headache if you stuff in a Northstar or baby Northstar into ride. There are tons of them out there already in FWD format and you can probably cut up a subframe to fit the Equinox and fit the exhaust in relative ease. It's not to hard to make power with the Northstars either. The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not, and never persist in trying to set people right. ~Hannah Whitall Smith

Broke_Audio_Addict
Well if it's just a project and money's no object get to choppin and don't forget the most important part POST PICS. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Skullz
If money is no object then buy a crate engine and transmission to drop in and a stand alone engine management system to control it with so you don't have to yank the engine harness, ecu and other goodies needed to run it, and the all dreaded complication of getting it all to work in the new ride. The beauty of a crate motor is the fact it is new and you know exactly what your getting along with some kind of warranty, and the same thing applies to the transmission. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
