Boon
bumperoni and cheese?wow that was ghey. As SPL2K said, you just can't really get loud in a convertible. Do a google search on "cabin gain". In a car the cabin acts as a kind of extra part in the enclosure... Take a sub, put it in the middle of your street. That's as loud as you're ever going to get in a convertible. The roof up may give you a tiny gain, but so might taping the meter to your sunglasses and shouting at it. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
wL<3bass
Top up its loud down its not, but when its up its loud thats all that matters to me really. With the top up and my single 12 cvr it was enough to make my rearview mirror break... wL<3bass
also firing sub from my punny little trunk through the 8" x 26" hole where the back seat goes allows it to get "louder" where as top up sub inside the interior part (backseat) its like its not there. So I was thinking no half wall ported, how about single 12" ported (thats all I can get in the trunk) and for the single twelve I was thinking about my dad's extra ts-w5102spl similar to a BTL. and with the top down sub in the trunk its still actually moderately loud I think my neighbors think I nuts putting my top up and down a bunch of times. lol Edited April 4, 2008 by wL<3bass Quote Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references...
