lmao... anyone that works at a car audio shop has prolly heard that one before...

anytime something stops working or whatever... customer always says:

"Are you sure you didn't cross any of the wires"

I dont actually work at an audio shop but i have been to them and heard people say it so i thought i would throw it out there

haha i wasn't ripping on you or anything... i just thought it was funny, because it's like ALWAYS the first thing a customer says.

By any chance did you hook to the solenoid. and do you have a capacitor or battery in the back. If so you just back fed into the starter.

I think on some Ford trucks (or all their slightly older ones, early 90s-ish) have a remote solenoid for the starter located on the right fender well in the engine bay.
