The drivers side is more of a worry because the gauge cluster bumps up from the dash and doesnt leave much room, but i think it will be fine. Not ideal for SQ comps, but good enough to sound nice.

milburyl Posted November 17, 2014 Author Report Posted November 17, 2014 Has anybody noticed what I used to make the speaker trims with? Im surprised nobody has noticed that yet...lol. Anyway, I tried using some plywood, but it kept chipping away on me, so I scrounged around my shed and found some house trim(mop board) that goes around the walls where it meets the floor(had some left over from house renos). I looked at it and it is made from MDF, so i tried it and it cut and worked well. Except for the contoured parts, which i faced down obviously, it was the right thickness for what i needed, and when its covered in glass and resin, it will strengthen up and never be seen.

The car will be re-done in the same factory red it is now.

I had(still have) that same amp, except i have the end caps for it. The Rockford Power 1000a1. Damn fine entry amp into serious car audio. I also have a SHITLOAD of Rockford equipment that Ive collected as well as some old Orion HCCA stuff. Its an addiction. I purchased the 13W7 this summer though and DAMN. It is the shit. If your wanting a SERIOUS sub and can find one at a good price, I highly recommend the JL Audio 13W7. I'll get a video of it bumping in my SUV, and it literally moves my windshield an inch. My buddies all think that the window is gonna break. And its on 1000 watts, stock electrical. I dont have a rear view mirror. I cant find glue that will keep it on. Even the auto glass place couldnt believe i knocked it off after they glued it.

That wasa my first box and i fucked up on the tuning so it was at like 47hz but still hit pretty good. Well take a pic of some of that RF gear... Hell Ya. Thanks for the JL tip but that shits way spendy up here in AK. The SQ subs where budget replacements at the time but thinking about getting some Sundowns to replace them just to try. Next build in wifes car will Be a SQ set up all the way around. But sons 94 GMC SLE Z71 is next for this summers build.

I have shit in my basement, shed, in the 2nd cars trunk. I have a sweet spot for my 2 HCCA(225 and 250)amps most though. Had em for almost 20 years now. On the wall is also a 200a4 and 250a2(going in my girlfriends car along with a pair of those 12" Rockfords, whether she likes it or not.
