I know a lot of people love the Clarion CZ702. I believe its around $140 which is not bad at all as ive been looking at it for myself for a while. There are a bunch of compaines out now that offer shallow mount subs so you should have a wide range to pick from. Sundown has a slim mount SD series about $170 a piece just to name one. Depending on the mountng depth of the box you may not need shallow mount subs, just ones that work within your depth. Look for a box that has specs on it and if you cant find one then im sure someone here would be able to design one and you could build it yourself.

Is ct sounds or soundqubed any good

Yes, both are really good compaines and make great products. I believe that soundqubed has some of the cheapest price points and are hard to beat when it comes to that. Many people have done builds with both brands, small and big.

Why do you think you need shallow mount subwoofers? It shows mounting depth of 8 1/4". Just about any 12" will work fine with that.

Soundqubed is a solid choice. Couple HDS 212 would be nice and fit the budget easily.

I've used them before, but it's been awhile. QLogic used to make one and I've also used the ones designed by Steve at subthump.com .

Probably aren't going to find the QLogic ones anymore, but the ones at subthump are top quality. They look better, can get custom lettering/wrapping and overall look better than the one you linked in the eBay listing.

It's a bit more money and actually doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the well. So you'll get less airspace. They say it's for storage. Donno what they think you're going to store under 150lbs of sub/sub box. <_<

I hope you don't already have lowering springs installed. All this ain't light. I had to install spring spacers on my old factory springs to keep the rear end from bottoming out over bumps.

And as was said, $1300 for two of those shallow Kenwoods and a Kenwood 5-channel with 4g wire is a rip. Even if that included install. Full blown MSRP is only ike $850 on all that. And you're saying he started at $2100 for just that!??!?! If so, RUN. He's trying to rip you the F off.

The local car audio shop recommended me Kenwood eXcelon shallow mount subs: http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment_2013/eXcelon/Subwoofers/KFC-XW1200F

And eXcelon amp XR900-5. with 4 gauge wire

Well seems like he was planning to offer a discount on the package deal. I'd call them up I'm sure they could work with your budget and space requirements.

Yeah he wanted $2100 at first then he cut the price as best as he can to $1300

I would never pay even $1300 dollars for that. You buy two shallow mounts, a 5 channel amp and a amp kit for MUCH less, IF you could do the install yourself.
