Revdoc
I've been trying to decide what to put in my 07 Escape for a while now, I only have about 12 cubes of air space but I want to squeeze as much bass in that space as I can. I would love to do 4 15s but can't seem to find any that like 3 cubes per sub. Or 3 18s that would do well in 4 cubes per sub. I have built a too-small box before and hated it, I don't want to make that mistake again. Power will be 4k RMS, box will be tuned for 30-35 hz with a slot port. Also considering 6 12s, see my other thread.
CleanSierra
Sundown Zv3 15s are happy with 3-cubes each. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra
Sundown Zv3 18s are happy in 4 cubes each. The subs don't need tons of air to be happy. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Revdoc
Cool, thanks for the suggestion. Looks like the Sundown Z series is a possibility. If only they weren't $400 a piece.

Revdoc
what kind of amp will you be using ? I will probably run 2 rated at 2k-2.5k RMS at 1 ohm. Haven't fully decided yet. I will have an upgraded alt, multiple runs of 1/0 and a spare battery or two in the back to help support the amps. I might go cheap at first with a pair of AP1800s or PPI Black Ice series. Then upgrade to a couple of Crescendo or Sundown amps once I have everything installed and working. Especially if I have to spend extra to get subs that will work in a small space, like the Zv.3's. Guest
DC audio subs are known to work best in smaller boxes private message CJ18 on here for more info http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/user/27969-cj18/
Revdoc
I have been talking to CJ18, thanks. I also found the Skar ZVX 18s that supposedly work in 4 cubes ported @ 32 hz. On sale now at SonicElectronix $380 shipped. Anyone have experience with Skar? Think these could handle 2000 or 2400 instead of the rated 1500 RMS? Nightshade
You could easily run 4 sa15's in 12 cubes and it would be LOUD! I ran 4 sa12's in a meager 6.5 cubes and did 155's in my ZX3 with them. If I would have switched to ZV3's I'm sure it would have been even louder. My point is that the sa series is affordable and gets fucking loud. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz
