Ahmed Johnson Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 I did get display model. Man, he probably beat that sub to shit and put it back in a box. It used to be a d2 until he clipped the shit out of it.
FryDaddy Posted November 22, 2014 Author Report Posted November 22, 2014 Nikitaa, I did touch probe together before I tested, had small amout of resistance. I don't have no expensive meter
hispls Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 Actual DC resistance is typically always lower than nominal impedance.
FryDaddy Posted November 22, 2014 Author Report Posted November 22, 2014 So, basically this is a 4 ohm then.
Ahmed Johnson Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 Do both coils atleast have the same resistance?
FryDaddy Posted November 22, 2014 Author Report Posted November 22, 2014 Ahmed, yes both coils check near same resistance
Ahmed Johnson Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 2.8 - 3.2 is low for a d4 and high for a d2. But then again, I don't know shit about sundown. Being that it's a display model I'll bet the shop dealer put that sub on every display model amp he had
Jessica Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 never understood why sundown doesnt just put a small sticker on each basket showing the coil's config. If you re-cone, just pull the sticker off. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. FryDaddy Posted November 24, 2014 Author Report Posted November 24, 2014 After talking with dealer, he keep saying its a dual 2. Asked for a refund or just even order me a new sub, but received a no for both answers at time. He's suppose to contact sundown today and see what they say, but I doubt he will. I think I got screwed by dealer, but if thats what these subs read, so be it.
