Hard drive suggestions please

Recommended Posts

Looking to replace my current drive, seems lately i see a lot of 100% duty in task manager. Right now its at 100% and i am doing nothing so i am guessing it wither has some bad blocks or it is just starting to fail.

I would like 1 to 2 TB and i think i should avoid the WD "Green" models. Maybe a barracuda drive?

Any suggestions would be helpful. i used to keep up with hardware but i havent got the time anymore.

Also, no SSD's please.

No ssd? I can't suggest anything then...so i have nothing further.

p.s. don't waste your money, get an SSD. THERE I SAID IT. lol

It's the best investment you can make for a computer (that doesn't have one). It will also show almost the best performance gain of anything you can currently do. It will probably last longer too with no moving parts.

Sorry, i won't say the word ESS ESS DEE anymore though. lol

840 EVO is an amazing SSD.

The 850 Pro is an insane drive as well.

I haven't looked lately, but I think I'm going to go for a second if they go on sale for black Friday.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
