Worth it to rebuild rockford gate hx2

Honestly its all on wether you wanna spend the money or not. I was quoted somewhere around $140 by fix my speaker.com to fix my 15" just havent done it yet. I personally love my 3 12" HX2's and would fix if needed but its all on preference ya know

yeah they quoted me around $125 for one sub, i might just send them in once i get the money for it.

Springfield Speaker Repair should have OEM cones, coils and spider packs for those HX2 subs. 150 for a recone for those is absurd. Realistically cost of parts is maybe 50$, call it 80 or 90 on the high side if you have the rare OEM parts. Talk about a huge profit margin.

fixmyspeaker is giving him a better recone kit and its drop in. he dont have to do much work plus i think it takes more power with Davids recones

David does not mark up a lot.. sundown sells recon for z.v3 at $130 with no glue David quoted me $180 with glue and shims and its a custom kit that will make it hit lower. glue on its own is $30
