gckless Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 The RF bdcp's are nice, but note that the ratings for constant power are only for 1 and 2 ohms. Drops for 4 ohm ratings. The JL constant power amps are rated for 1-4 ohms. You also have the option of going with any popular Korean (DC, Sundown, Ampere, etc.) 3k amp and getting good power at 3-4ohms. Or, if you're open to used, there are a lot of options. Just seen this today: http://www.caraudio.com/forums/amplifier-classifieds/610765-fs-soundstream-reference-4-920-soundstream-reference-1-1000-a.html "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. MaxMays Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 To make it simple, you would wan't to find an amp thats rated at about 800watts rms at 2 ohms. I used the DLS A6 amp.
Miguels Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 for SQ it would be better to stray away from class D amps class AB amps sound better.. not that class D amps dont work but but class AB sound way better my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

I will end this debate now and move on.
Guest Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 What about this amp? http://www.amazon.com/JX1000-1D-Audio-Monoblock-Amplifier/dp/B004LMCZMY#productDetails 750wrms at 3ohm.
MaxMays Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 for SQ it would be better to stray away from class D amps class AB amps sound better.. not that class D amps dont work but but class AB sound way better agreed.
Guest Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 for SQ it would be better to stray away from class D amps class AB amps sound better.. not that class D amps dont work but but class AB sound way better Really? I heard its really difficult for the human ear to notice the difference.
gckless Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 for SQ it would be better to stray away from class D amps class AB amps sound better.. not that class D amps dont work but but class AB sound way better Lower end Class D, yes. But I'll disagree with you there on the higher end class D. Zed for example. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now.
