are you fucking kidding me? holy shit!

do you guys see that price? pretty much a 2500w amp for under $500

oh man!

heres another beast 1500w amp for $300

http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/crescendo-audio-s1500-1/

no contest imo

I'm gonna say this one more time, i hope you take this to heart!

if you buy that 1500w rf amp and p3s and run them at 4ohm... there is no need for a aftermarket alt, bigger battery, 0g, deadner... you are literally wasting your money.

to be honest a 1500w amp and a good size 4 channel doesn't need a ho alt. I'm.running over 4,000w with 2 bats and a stock alt. i stay In the high 13volt area.

but its your money. waste it if you want.

I may have missed it but what brand of alt are you going with?

We've all been where you are... The guys are right, you'll be wanting to upgrade very soon if you buy that gear. You want headroom... buy a better amp, better subs, and build your own box tuned to your musical preference. And for the love of god, don't a run 4ohm load. Why buy extra bats, alts, blah blah, and run a t1500 at 4ohms? Waste of money. Plus, I challenge you to hear the difference between 1 ohm and 4 ohms with today's quality of sound processing on amps. If someone came up to me at a show and said "hey man I've got a 270amp alt, battery bank and a sick setup" and gave me a demo of all that feeding a pair of 12's a 4ohms I would laugh inside asking myself if this person is simple.

If you only have this one shot at a system (which in all honesty is ridiculous... the whole thing about your wife buying 10 pairs of the same shoes but you can't do anything), you're gonna want to listen to the advice you're being given by people who have made the same mistakes in the past (myself included). P3s with a 1500 at 4ohms is "meh" at best and won't keep you happy; especially if you have a bigger vehicle like an Excursion...

Alpine is best buy shyte now. They used to be really good but they've gone down the tubes imho.

You want to do this right and have it sound awesome? Here's my advice to you:

1. Get yourself a 3500 watts RMS amp or bigger (DC, Sundown, Ampere, Crescendo, SoundQubed, American Bass, etc...)

2. Buy a quality alternator... don't skimp out. This is the heart that makes your system beat. (DCPOWER, Mechman, Singer are the only ones I personally would buy)

3. For subs, you can get amazing subs these days... Some brands (DC, Digital Designs, Sundown, Ascendant Audio, Fi, Soundqubed, American Bass, etc...) Just make sure you match the RMS output of the subs to the RMS output of the amp. For a big truck like an excursion I would do 2 15's instead of 2 12's, or one 18.

4. Have you considered running an active setup with pro audio? I recently made the switch and I quite like it. There are mixed feelings on pro audio but I really enjoy it.

5. Build your own box. There are guys on here that can help you with designs in the "enclosures" section of the forum. All you need is a local home depot to buy and cut your wood, some wood clue, nails or screws, a drill, and a jigsaw or router. It's not hard to do at all and it will make your system sound 10x better. It's been said on this forum many times.... 20% equipment, 80% install. I can't stress enough how important the box is when it comes to bass.

At this point you've probably already bought the RF stuff and will be running your system at 4 ohms. Best of luck to you.

Ok well good news I haven't I am trying still listening to you guys. So I have an expedition not an excursion. And I want good music all around and since I am only buying one set of components and one coax I don't know how 2 15s sound like. And I'm sure you understand that I don't want the bass to overpower the whole system.

But I've been researching. So far Sundown has the best output. From the review I read on 1800woofers.com they do good sound and beats the P3 out the spl. My guess is because of the way the cone is. But I'm interested in them now. So please tell me if two 15s is going to sound ok and not overflow the sq of the components because now I'm also looking at the Sundown Audio SA-6.5CS but I'm not so sure about the RMS. It just feels too low. So I'm looking at the Neo-Pro 6.5 180 RMS. But does it come with a crossover? Would I need one? Because obviously since it's not a component just a mid-range might as well get a Super Tweeter. But Sundown doesn't have one, so what would you guys suggest in that? And will a super tweeter need a crossover? And if so, which one?

I'm looking into a bigger AMP

The alternator I'm buying is a Mechman 270A alternator

And I've looked around and I listen to Reggaeton and Hip Hop/Rap alot. I know the comps are going to kill with the Reggaeton since most reggaeton is treble. But my understanding is it all sounds good with a 32hz tune.

please get that amp.. you will love it.

as for subs. one good 15 or 18 for the same price of 2 p3s will do amazing.

if you want pm me and i will build your system. as far as, mono amp, sub, 4channel, and speakers. i know what can power what and what can keep up with what.

If I get 4 mid - range at 8 ohms and wire them to 4 ohm do the RMS add? So like 4 50RMS at 8 ohms wired to 4 ohm final will that make it 200RMS? Making it be that I would need an amp that outputs 200 RMS on 1 ch?

thank you afrakes, thats one of the many kids I've helped buy (even install over the phone) systems for.

no, you wouldn't run 4 speakers off 1 channel.

like i said in my pm. if your sub stage is under 3000w a decent 4 channel amp (about 100w per channel) will keep up just fine.

get those crescendo comps i showed you.

on any 400 total 4channel. run with the x overs and enjoy.

i promise you don't need as many Watts as you think you do.

i have 4000w Watts to My sub. and a 60w x4 channel amp for my highs/mids.

i set the gain with a dd1 and it was way to loud! i ended up turning the gain down allot. with -2 on the deck and -8 in the x over.

so i have ass load of power left in that Lil amp.

not to mention the ohm load are only 4ohm.

lets recap, i can go to 2ohm to get more power, retune my gain for Max output, plus put all eq settings back to 0db.

any one that's heard my system will say my 100w total watt front stage, And 80w rear has no issue handling my sub.

hunter where you at on this?

I agree, 400watts to door speakers is a good amount. Should have no issue keeping up with a sub or 2 on 1.5-2k rms.

Imo

1 sundown 12 or 15 would get loud and sound fantastic.

A simple component set upfront and coax in back.

A good hu can be had for under $200, even one with Bluetooth.

Also spending the same amount of money on 1 sub rather then 2 can easily get you a better sounding subwoofer. It would also save trunk space to have one sub compared to 2.

I'm sure the wife wouldn't argue with you trying to take up less space.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
