Broke_Audio_Addict
Did you readjust the gain? You could have lower input voltage going to the amp with the new headunit. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Aj11
well most stock headunits Max at volume 12. there's very Lil play between Max and off. compared to a aftermarket deck like mine that maxes out at volume 50. also i don't know who installed it the first time but your gain could have been way to high and the last guy actually knew what he was doing. that could be a reason. but the question that hasn't been asked... you say it takes more clicks of the volume knob to start bassing. Is it still the same output? and just takes longer to get there? or is there a loss of output? also you say in the title you changed boxes, but in post you don't speak of it... a new box can change everything! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11
sounds like you have more control over your volume now, and your gain.might be set right. also never run bass boost! ever! it will just clip your subs and kill your subs. i truly don't understand why they even make "bass boost" i mean isn't that what the amp does to begin with? jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
