selaed box performace from a ported (prefab) box

They add bass boost so dumb as kids turn it up thinking they are louder and blow all their shit. So now they need new equipment, and they come running back but buy the more expensive shit because they wanna be louder yet.

That's what I would assume at least, don't see any other reason to have it on there.

haha no they didnt have it set right , i thin k i figured out the problem. going to fine tune today, i found my gain maxed out and knob also which i knew about but the settings on the hu wernt right. like set to zero all functions. so got gain set bout half till later

[medwards420]

subs never started to stink and amp never got warm so i think im ok still...!

[Aj11]

ummmm.... all your eq settings on your deck should be at 0. mine are all negative actually.

and your gain still isn't set right, half doesn't mean anything!

please read what a gain is, and how it works.

gain doesn't equal volume or power or bass, or watts.... please research before you kill your subs.

also i thought the same thing frakes, but even good companies, sundown, DC, ct, B2.. they all have it.

boost is the devil!

All eq settings at 0 isn't necessarily right either but you never want to boost them so stay at or below 0.
