Thanks for posting. It's pretty flat 38 and up right now. But it loses 3 Db down to 25 hz. Just need to open up rear port. The. Should be flat all the way down.

This 137 is from about 40 and up. Then about 134 down to 27 ish then 131 down to 16 hz. This is no Deadned stock electrical on 500 rms amp probably clamping around 250-300 watts. Room for improvement!

here are results in car. car has stock electrical. only dropped to 13.6 on full tilt lol, and no deadening or any interior mods. this is as drop in as it gets.

all the results are sealed on the dash unless otherwise specified. No kick scores were played ever.

clamping around 230 rms measured the old fashion way, so that means if i had the amm-1 id prolly be looking at around 200 watts after PF

this is the initial sweep with port facing front of car. seats down. fairly flat, but you can see low end taper off. its not breathing, this is first clue to too small of [port. plus when i first put sub in i played it without the back on and i could hear noise up to 40 hz

but still not a bad frequency response. I can play 16hz all the way up to 80hz. this sweep was at about 3/4 volume.

now we turned the box around. to create a loading wall since trunk is not sealed off.

for this result i was playing music. Put On was the song. still managed a 132 high at 28 hz. 136 and 135 on 40hz +.

Now i played same song (Put ON), i cracked the front windows, high scores came down slightly but I gained on the low end by almost 2 db. 133 mid on 28hz. this is another way to tell the port isnt big enough, when you gain when windows roll down. at least for my car thats how i know.

Now I am back sealed up again.

i screen shotted at wrong time. forgot the song but 40hz plus is pretty darn flat. sitting about 135 on music.

this song was sleep with one eye open dubstep remix. popping 137s high 40s. then lower notes trialing off due to rear port.

i forgot if this one was on music or not. i think it was music.

but highest score thus far out of a trunk on clamped 200 ish watts.,

i played lights down low by bei major but i think i missed the screen shot. but that playes extrememly well too.

Summary, i dont think I will ever go back to basic ported. this box has so much potential and I havent even tweaked it yet. and its on 200 rms.

another thing that might be hindering my lows is because i am not moving the sub. this sub was designed to handle 2000 rms all day, i am pushing a 10th to it. so on th elow notes I may not be efficiently movign it. but over all this box is very efficient, i dont hve to worry about unloading on any of those surprise notes. its just awesome!!

Build a 6th, youll never go back.

i have a 8inch port for my 15 and I'm.way louder with the windows down.

sealed up i have Very little lows.

I'd be afraid to get a bigger port.

i was the same way with my 2 6's on the 15. Windows down or sunroof open the lows were a lot...more. Up above 40 it didn't seem different either way though.

my car works that way. and the fact that i have port noise at 40 hz is more telling than even the windows

maybe you guys are right but 3 inches ius still wayyy too small. need more. this is movinbg more air than i suspected

I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong, i was just taking advice and applying it to my system.

trying to get every db of info i can.

but i thought your pvc port was on the small end.

i get a Lil port noise around 23hz but I'm not going to complain about that...i can play into the 60hz's

Cool build. I've always loved the small single sub builds.

I see you are using the old version of Torres. The new version is much more accurate, especially with port tuning.
