Miguels
60a rating.. 600 watts at best. Wire at 1OHM and leave the gain low. Miguels
Yes sir. Price of the amplifier tells you everything. If you're not looking to spend a lot look at a crescendo audio. They have a 600 watt amp. You will see difference. Plus that sub is underrated. Can easily take a 1k amp if set right my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

Joe X
Your amp is rated 1200W RMS @ 1 ohm but if the sub is wired to 4 ohm you would see 1/4 of that power or about 300W, that could be one reason it is not getting that loud.
Miguels
Joe.that amp would have to be 200% efficient to make 1200 watts from a 60 amp draw.but the rest your right it will be less if wired at 4 ohms plus the impedance rise my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

Jeff4661
Earlier he said it was a ssa 3000 watt... I myself am pretty confident that the amp puts out nowhere close to 3k watts... Also what is Ur electrical situation? You could have a bad ground or something that is contributing to the lack of output Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/
Jeff4661
I had that SSL amp as my first amp. Man I'm telling you just spend like 250 for a used 1000 watt amp from one of the recommended brands om here. You have yourself a very good sub that needs clean power. Also what guage wire are you using for your power/ground?4 gauge for my power wire and a 8 gauge for my ground wire You should really up that ground size to match Ur power wire Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/
