I dunno why im always thinking this but is it possible to run a btl on 4000 watts all day without any problems? I love to play my music at Full tilt all the time, and i would hate to have to turn them down just so they wont burn up on me. Hopefully these new btls will be able to take more punishment than the older ones. Dont get me wrong the older ones are some tough mofo's fareal!!

that all depends. Do you have the electrical system to support 4,000 RMS all day?

i dont know what the RMS is on the new ones....but the old ones were 2,000rms and if anyone actually stuck to that i dont see how there could be a problem. I, of course, run MORE then double the RMS and ive had very few issues.

Yea thats what im talkin about Steve!! Can your old Btls stand up to 4000 for a couple of hours? I love when u turn your bass nob up and have it bumpin at full tilt but what would happen if you kept it like that? I mean will the coils get too hot and just give out? OH yea what options did you pick for your NEW BTLS?

i can only go for a short time at FULL tilt.......like under a minute. I can go Full tilt, then back off just a pu$$y hair and it will go all day. Still PLENTY hard enough to hurt almost anyone..

full tilt on almost any system is never a good thing especially if your exceeding the manufacturer's recommendations as much as i am. Where do you plan on being when you drop 4k on a sub and just let it go for a couple hours? I cant think of a time when i would do that even at half the power....i can take the pressure but even i have a point where i cant handle it anymore and have to back off. No one in your neighborhood or even at a stereo contest wants to hear you doin that shit for hours straight......thats the reason i do my demo's then move on to the next victim or take breaks in between.

oh, ive never had a BTL coil go on me.....i broke 2 tinsels in 2 years and broke one sub in half. Coils always looked perfect.

the new btls are meant more for daily applications so if they can take similar watts as the old one then im sure theyll be fine with 4k daily.

Im sure they would be too. With clean power and a good box, and haveing bassknob and volume control anythings possible. I ran 1000 watts to each 2 12" CVR's daily for a while and after a few minutes of beating on them hard they got hot and would turn it off and let them cool, 5 mins later they were ready to go. Dont see anyone playing music for hours and thats alot of stress at full tilt like that for a long period of times.
