vitochelopez Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Sorry I did not have a camera when I was doing the build, I only had one a week after I finished it. Well here are my doors now. @ Massive Audio Summo 6.5 Subwoofers CDT 2" HD Mid. The box for woofer is 0.4 Cubic feet it was built by me in the door with 3/8 mdf coated with fiber glass resin and sound deadener, it sticks out a bit into my door pocket so i cut door and covered area with a piece of wood I upholstered with matching leather and it came out okay? And I used Memphis universal woofer grill for a bit of protection cause my wife kicked one already woman!? Its all good though. This is a 2004 Dodge Durango Limited. Doors are pretty deep, so that helped but still had to cut some stuff.
Popwarhomie Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 What are you doing for crossovers and crossover points on them? 2010 Focus coupe- 8 12" wall. 157.5@46hz 2016 Focus ST - SQ build.
Deeznutz Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Well, that's a different look for sure. I did see an older E36 BMW with Audioson components with protective beams. Should have taken pics of the box to give us a better idea of what it took to get them in. Looks clean. You gotta let her know to "Open the door, all the way before kicking your leg out!" lol. -Frank
vitochelopez Posted February 9, 2015 Author Report Posted February 9, 2015 They are crossover at 80HZ - 6DB and box is tuned to around 55 - 60HZ They sound amazing! Cannot believe the bass output I get from just my doors, sound like I have some entry level 10's. Doors get no rattle either, they have 2 layers of deadener inside and out and also some foam sound absorber.

vitochelopez Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 Memphis grills? Yes they are universal, couldnt find any 6" subwoofer grills anywhere but these. All other grills or covers I found were to small in depth and would rub surround.
