acejoker68 Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 I currently have a tarantula t7.124 wire at 2 ohms to a tarantula 2000.1 amp it doesn't seem to hit has hard on lower notes as it did when i first got it about a week and half ago. I have checked that its wired at 2 ohms with multimeter it ranges from 1.6 to 2.2 Running it in a 1ft cubic box without sub displacement, so more like .75 cubic ft for the sub Amp was setup with multimeter for about 43 AC volts which is about 900 rms 100 over rated I didnt really run the sub for a break in period I didnt know one existed When first got it i ran it off my rockford fosgate 400.4d amp which gave out 489 rms from its birth sheet. I didnt realize i had it wired at 2 ohms ( friend wired it) so damaged the amp (doesnt give out full power on rear output anymore but different topic to fix) I did after first few days of use retune the system to play lower cause it might have been clipping. Tried the push test for subwoofer dont hear any noticable scratching but how far do you push it down? Sub still hits but not like it use to feels like a lot more drop off around 45 hz. songs like candy shop and on my level still boom a lot but tincup gucci jacuzzi does not anymore Any advice faulty sub? settings issue? or did i blow it?

The sub should be fine with that 2000.1 honestly and you should never ever ever run a 4 channel amplifier like that to a dvc sub imo. how did the coils look on the sub also maybe your missing something, bass knob not up,voltage issue? acejoker68 Posted February 19, 2015 Author Report Posted February 19, 2015 Yes sealed sorry I left it out and i realize why you dont run a 4 channel to it but was waiting on the amp and really wanted to play with the sub stupid choice. when i set my gain i had the remote gain set to max and will never use bass boss cause ik what it can do to subs. voltage is 14 going to the 2 amp have slight light dimming but only on heavy bass notes.

slowfkncar Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 Usually a fresh woofer in sealed will start to roll off lower after the spider has been broken in. In your case,your probably getting used to it. If you moved anything in your trunk,back seats,ect it could also hurt low output.
