jaycob533 Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 Why would my power window fuse keep blowing? Is it something with my alarm system or the audio itself? I got 2 XL 15's on a crescendo 5500 and 2 xp3000's. Anyone else had this problem or input on whats going wrong?

Broke_Audio_Addict Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 ^^^^ what he asked/ said. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
jaycob533 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Report Posted February 28, 2015 The first time it happened was after I turned my gain slightly up. I replaced it, it was fine for a while on the way to work. I went to lunch, started my car and realized it had blown again. I'm def getting some voltage drop. I still have a stock alt. I've been told the largest I can put in my car is 160amp or it will bog down my motor

rockFord_Expedition Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 And I assume these fuses blow when you have your system up and you go to roll the windows up/down right? Old School/New School RF Build March 2015 SOTM Winner How to crimp large wire
jaycob533 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Report Posted February 28, 2015 I Already have the big 3. I'm not to sure what exactly is causing it right now. it was fine went I got to work. I rolled my windows up, okay cool. I leave for lunch, no window power. I have an audio control EQ that has 9.5v pre amp output
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted February 28, 2015 Report Posted February 28, 2015 So it's already blown when you go to put the window down or it blows right after you push the button? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
jaycob533 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Report Posted February 28, 2015 I'm not quite sure. It seems to be happening when I crank the volume. i'm not trying to operate both at the same time usually. If I turn the volume up I either already have my window down or if I roll it up I have the music turned down before hand. If the fuse is blowing while pressing the button I can't really tell. The first one I replaced blew immediately. I took it the local shop that did some work for me and they said they unplugged to harness to my sunroof buttons and that reset it from blowing the fuse immediately. they were saying it had something to with that piece around my sunroof
