Ok guys its time for me to put a little system together with some of my crap laying around. Nothing serious but its been about 4 years sense ive had some tunes. So if there is anyone out there who can help me out id really appriciate it. I want something thats going to work and i will pay for the design/cut sheet if need be.

Vehicle 97 tahoe 4 door

Sub amp soundstream rubicon rub2500.1 ( obviously turned down) or maybe a fosgate 1500bd

Subs 2 alpine type r 15s

I listen to all kinds of music rap r&b oldies classic rock.

My measurements that id like to use are

L 48" w 24" h 14" i really would like to stay at 14" high so that i can still use the cover over the back cargo area.. 48" is max measurement between the wheel wells. Anyone with design knowledge want to help me out. If so please pm me and let me know what you are going to charge.

This should do it, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum ports clearance 6", figure is just an assembly guide, bracing is a single top to bottom wooden dowel rod 1 1/4" in diameter at the center of the baffle:

Joe x thanks! I tried to message you but it wouldnt let me.. I have a couple questions. According to alpine they say 3.5 cubes per sub. And to do a slot port. The specs you gave are slightly under the 3.5 per sub. And you used round ports. Do you think it will be much of a differece?

The old SWR-1542D was manufacturer recommended for a maximum gross of 3 cubic feet per sub, giving 3.1 net per sub is already ok, the round ports are to preserve space and keep within your dimensions. If you use flared aeros (not bare PVC pipe), you are good and within the dimensions you want.

A larger box with a slot port and greater net volume could easily be done but I would need to go above 14h, would be glad to do it if you don't mind the taller box. People has tried those subs to 3.5 net each (that I know of) without issues but in way less power, you would need to be rather careful with any mistakes.

yeah i have the older model. that makes sense im fine with doing round ports,i was just wondering. Now i just have to find ports that length.

So let me see if i got this right..i cant go buy a pvc tube or that round concrete tube stuff measured to the length. I have to use a presision port with flares?

The PSP.inc ports are 17" effective length, if you want exact length you would need to cut them a bit, only problem with those is that their excellent performance comes at a price:

If that is too much to pay you will need to find some alternatives, I try to use slot ports instead but space is a problem here. Just to be sure you will need 6" clearance at least to the rear gate for this to work.

Ok.. i can scratch using the cargo cover. I can go 18"- 21"..21" will put the top of the enclosure level with the top of my back seat. I dont mind buying round ports but if you have a better plan using a different port option i can lose the cover. I have a good alarm i dont have to hide it lol

With the depth at 24 that leaves me with about 18-20" to the rear gate
