chevyboy321 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Any ideas on how to build a wall in a 1986 caprice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced
OrionStang Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 First off, strip out the rear seats, then measure how much room you have to work with. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
chevyboy321 Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Posted March 2, 2015 Ok, its my first wall that im doing. Then what do i do after the measurements
OrionStang Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Look through the build log section. Its best to frame out the enclosure, then line it with mdf or birch. Its not a simple answer or process. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
rockFord_Expedition Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 Look at other walled builds, take lots of mental notes, and start measuring cutting and assembling. Old School/New School RF Build March 2015 SOTM Winner How to crimp large wire
SteveOrtiz1985 Posted March 2, 2015 Report Posted March 2, 2015 If you are doing a wall no matter what, then focus on how the shell was built. I like using 2x4"s in oem bolt locations to build a solid frame. (using the bolt locations for seat belts, seats, etc) Here is my build log for the last wall I did. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/196251-2003-hyundai-santa-fe/ Much more elaborate build log with more pics here www.facebook.com/santaortiz03
