This is without the box in, theres room under the box

The issue with a box loading this way is you need to fit it through the trunk opening

I'm tearing up my weatherstrip on the trunk opening from loading and unloading that box as I work on it lol :)

Yea I can feel ya there. I've already torn mine up climbing in and out of the trunk and loading and unloading. Hopefully it won't have to come out anymore. Just the back side of the box needs to be finished up now. Planning on doing a 3 piece false floor that way I can still access the spare tire. I'll Kreg jig the box to the floor so it doesn't try and slide anywhere.

hah, I was just working on false floor, I think its going to have to be a 3pc to fit

thinking I should have got a flex or something heh, that would have been so much easier to get in and out of lol

idk what trim you got, but mine didn't even come with a spare, just a stupid air pump with goo incase I get a flat. I dont even have that in the car at the moment though

what size alternator did ford stick you with? I saw there were several sizes, I ended up with a 175 factory alt in my trim

I guess I would have to double check , but I'm assuming I have the 175 because I have the Limited so it came with all the extra goodies. You should take a look through my build log and see all the troubles this damn thing has given me.

When I do my false floor I'm planning on just doing it across the depression in the trunk where you can remove the carpet where the spare tire would be. May change my idea though by the time I get where I want. Planning on doing 5k, either a DC 5k or 2 DH3000s and another D6500. Have you tried to price any aftermarket alternators?

I looked at a few alts, I think I'd go with one of these to be honest,

I've had several issues too, I saw your JL audio woes. I have a helix DSP, I've found the input from the front door tweeters is really limited. I planned on hitting my helix outputs with an RTA tomorrow to map the factory frequency cutoffs between the front door tweeters and doors. I have the factory head and I just have it set to stereo. I have my rear deck subs unhooked, as well as the central speakers, and I have the fader fully forward.

I have an RF800a4 for highs and zapco c2k 9.0xd for the subs but next week a new pair of amps will be showing up, a us acoustics barbara ann and a big ben, should be a nice upgrade, and I'll have that amp matching going on.

What I'm doing currently is going over all my wiring, esp my grounds, cleaning everything up, making sure I have solid connections. I had some weird voltage issues going on, I had to fish my front battery neg post power through the factory amp clamp and it brought my voltage back up. Car has been a challenge and learning expeirence for sure. My last car was an 05 police package crown vic with an AM/FM radio, so easy to upgrade. I put an eclipse headunit in there and just ran some nice clean RCAs to the trunk, so easy!

Pretty sure Mechman has a 240amp alternator for like $450. Have to double check.
