moredbs Posted March 7, 2015 Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 Im for the truck. I got a older truck just for moving crap around Ive had one for 5 years, and it gets used plenty. i say yes. Out of curiosity, what year/model truck do you two have and how much does insurance cost you? i have a 99 chevy cargo van, i pay about 40 a month for liability insurance,but i get a discount because i have 3 vehicles and house insurance all together. People may sensibly say "Why would you insure something that just sits in the driveway?". What price do you put on piece of mind? Trust me, once you have one, you'll find yourself using the beater a lot more..... any excuse not to put miles on your nice car. When I lived in NYC, the bimmer sat 75% of the time in the garage....I rode the ZX7R adding 20,000+ mi. on the bike in 2.5 yrs riding all over NYC/NJ. Saving the bimmer all those miles.
